¡Viva México på MXCO!

On Friday, September 13, MXCO transforms into Stockholm’s very own fiesta as we kick off the celebrations for Mexico’s Independence Day a little early. Expect an evening filled with music, flavors, and laughter – just like a proper Mexican party should be.

From 6 PM to 9 PM, a lively mariachi band will fill the restaurant with everything from romantic serenades to songs that will make you want to sing along. It’s impossible not to get swept up when the trumpets and guitarrones set the tone for the night – the perfect soundtrack for toasting, eating, and dancing your way through Friday.
To take the celebration to the next level, the kitchen has created two special dishes available for this night only. Tamales rojos filled with cheese and slow-cooked beef with guajillo chili, vegetarian tamales with mild poblano chili and fresh salsa verde, and infladitas de cochinita pibil – small, fluffy, crispy corn breads filled with tender, spicy cochinita pibil that melts in your mouth. Three new stars on the menu to make the evening even more festive.

Of course, the bar is ready for the night. Our bartenders are mixing everything from refreshing margaritas to smoky mezcal Negronis, and for those who want to explore further, there’s our extensive tequila and mezcal list.
